The Principles of Photography: From Exposure to Print

A two-day workshop covering the principles of photography from basic exposure
to final print. By the end of the workshop, participants will understand manual camera controls, light meter manipulation, RAW image processing, and editing fundamentals with the industry standard: Adobe Lightroom 4.0.
Through discussion and practice, this workshop will develop your photographic eye and prepare you for advanced levels of photography.
About the instructor:
Davis Hawk is a photographer and printing specialist with experience in traditional and
digital photography. He studied fine art black and white printing at The
Rockport College in Maine as well as under Christopher James at the Art Institute of Boston. He spent the last ten years traveling the country entertaining many hats in photography from catalog work, editorial portrait, still-life, and teaching. Davis has returned to NYC to further develop his fine art photography with emphasis on unconventional equipment and processes.
